This classic tomato pasta sauce is the base to so many dishes and can be adapted to make many different variations. Simplicity at its finest using all store cupboard ingredients.
HEAT the oil in a pan over a medium high heat and add the chopped onion and garlic,
SAUTE for a couple of minutes until soft then add the tomatoes, cayenne and crumble in the stock cube.
SIMMER the sauce for 5 to10 mins.
SEASON to taste and stir through the basil leaves.
