Christmas Cinnamon Cookies

Christmas Cinnamon Cookies recipe by The Chiappas

Our Christmas Cinnamon Cookies are easy to make and they disappear fast. Children will love decorating them and turning them into edible decorations for the Christmas Tree.

Cooling: 30 mins

Ingredients

To buy:

100g icing sugar

50g corn flour {If you cant get corn flour replace with plain flour}

Store-cupboard essentials:

200g plain flour

180g butter (at room temperature)

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

METHOD

PREHEAT your oven to 180°C

LINE a baking tray with a sheet of baking powder

MIX all ingredients together (or use a blender) until they form a soft dough

COVER with cling film and place in fridge to chill for 30mins.  This is helps you roll out the shapes more easily

ROLL out the dough and cut into whatever shapes you want

PLACE  your cut shapes evenly apart on your baking tray allowing room for them to spead a little

BAKE for 10-12mins until golden.  Leave to cool before decorating
